Pastors
Pastor Damein E. Johnson is a native of Washington, D.C. His roots in the church begin in the historic First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington where he was baptized at 8 years of age. After being re-baptized in the same church at the age of 20, Pastor Johnson began to be active in various capacities within the local church and soon sensed a call to ministry. Having been involved in numerous outreach endeavors, weeks of prayer and bible work, he felt that his call had been confirmed.
Pastor Johnson graduated from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Pastor Johnson has served as Youth Pastor at the Community Praise Center in Alexandria, Virginia. He has also served on the youth council of the Potomac Conference. He later served as the Senior Pastor of the Pennsylvania Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church in Capitol Heights, MD, and is currently serving as the Senior Pastor of the Seabrook Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lanham, MD. He has been called to preach in numerous places throughout North America and also in Europe and the Caribbean. He counts it a privilege to be able to use the gifts God has given him in the ministry of the Gospel.
Pastor Johnson is married to the former Charmaine Donaldson who also grew up in the Washington Metropolitan area. They have three wonderful sons, Andre', Aaron and Aidan.
Pastor Jeremiah Green is a native of Prattville, Alabama. Born, the sixth child
of nine to Jerry and Annie Green. He's married to Giliane Green, and has a son
named Micaiah.
God confirmed his calling through a dream at the age of fifteen. In the dream, God showed him a text in 1Timothy 3, which reveals the requirements of a minister. Later, God directed him to Oakwood College where he graduated with a BA in Ministerial Theology. He completed his Masters degree in Divinity at Andrews University.
He ministered for two years as a children's pastor at Community Praise Center in Alexandria, Virginia and Vienna SDA in Vienna, Virginia. He ,now, serves as an Associate pastor for youth and young adults at the Seabrook SDA Church in Landham MD.
Pastor Jeremiah, as many call him, has a passion for children, youth, and young adults. He believes that children are empowered by the Gospel just as adults and that God has a great work for them to do.
Pastor James Brown, the Nurture Pastor, has been in the ministry for 30
years. He has been ministering at the Seabrook Seventh Day Adventist
Church for 13 years. Prior to coming to the Washington DC metropolitan
area, Pastor Brown ministered in Virginia and Oklahoma. His wife and
love of his life, Nedra Brown, have been married for 39 years. They
first met when she was only one year old and he was three years old.
They have three grown children, Oscar, Tonya, and Bryan and four
grandchildren, Kali, Kiera, Kaiden and Kamber. Pastor Brown enjoys
hanging out with his family. He loves the Lord and it's his desire to
continue to serve Him until He comes.
